A 12 year old amish girl is free of cancer after refusing chemotherapy treatments and instead took an all natural route.
Many would say it is a “miracle,” but many holistic medicine healers are not shocked. Especially after her doctors testified in court over 6 months ago that she would be deceased by this time if her family was allowed to refuse chemotherapy for their daughter.
The Medina Gazette, in Medina, Ohio, the head of the Libertarian non-profit group 1852 Center for Constitutional Law, Maurice Thompson, says that Sarah Hershenberger apparently shows no signs of cancer and is in a healthy state.
“She had MRIs and blood work, and the judge over the last year helped facilitate at least one trip to the Cleveland Clinic. The MRIs did not show any cancer,” Thompson said to the Gazette. He even said her family is still treating their daughter daily with healthy, non-invasive alternative medicine.
“Once you have it, you’re never 100 percent out of the woods, whether or not you get chemotherapy,” he said.
“I know how she looks isn’t really an indication of whether she has cancer, but she’s looking very healthy.” As noted in the paper, there was no remnants of cancer in any tests.
Court finds parents have no rights — again
In 2013 when Sarah was diagnosed with cancer, her parents Anna and Andy Hershberger, had agreed to start their daughter on chemotherapy. They decided to cancel the treatments after they watched Sarah’s condition worsen. They feared she could have died if left on chemotherapy.
When a parent denies their child of ‘proper medical care’ the state will intervene with the hospital to strip a parent of their right to make a medical decision for their kid(s) health. This essentially happened with the Hershbergers at the Akron Children’s Hospital, when they refused their daughters chemo sessions.
The hospital was seeking “limited guardianship” over Sarah to try to get her back on chemotherapy. Doctors would testify in court that she woudn’t live another 6 months without the toxic treatment. At first, Probate judge John L. Lohn, ruled that the Hershberger’s were of mental sound to make medical decisions on behalf of their daughter. Then, a higher court ruled that the probate judge appoint a guardian.
The Hershberger’s then fled the country to Canada to find alternative medicine there and in Mexico, that could help with Sarah’s ondition. A few months later, the hospital gave up the legal fight and relinquished guardianship.
The gazette reports: “Thompson said Probate Judge Kevin Dunn — who replaced Lohn when he retired in 2014 — formally terminated Sarah’s guardianship on September 24. Thompson said the judge acknowledged that Sarah, who will turn 13 in November, showed no symptoms of cancer and that she appeared to be healthy.” After Sarah’s case, Thompson has called for lawmakers in Ohio to change the laws that enable judges to overrule parental health care decisions that pertain tot heir children.
Low survival rates for chemotherapy
“It is now time for Ohio’s legislators to protect Ohio families from wayward judges,” Thompson said, as reported by the Gazette. Thompson was outraged at first, and spoke out against the legal test utilized in cases similar to Sarah’s, in an effort to override parental authority in their decision-making with their children’s wellbeing and health.”This test allows county judges to overrule health care, educational and other important decisions of suitable Ohio parents,” Thompson said. “In the wake of Sarah’s case, the concept came to be known as ‘medical kidnapping.’ “
With no comment from the hospital, a spokesperson told the Gazette that Akron Children’s made a committee to interact with the Amish community, in order to “facilitate better communication regarding health care in the wake of Sarah’s case,” the paper reports. With that, chemotherapy survival rates, not the cancer people are diagnosed, is very low.
In 2004, a study discovered that 60 percent of Australian cancer patients lived, and chemotherapy had almost nothing to do with the survival rates. “I’ve never met a person who was cured by cancer with chemotherapy. Not a single one,” said Natural News editor Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
, following actor Patrick Swayze’s untimely death from pancreatic cancer (after receiving chemotherapy). “Never even heard of such a person. They don’t exist. Even the cancer industry will tell you their ‘cure rate’ is zero (because they don’t believe cancer can ever be cured).”
