This deodorant recipe is awesome, and my husband literally could ride his bike 70 miles in the summer heat and have no body odor.
My daughters are even using this as it is easy for them to use.
You can also add in essential oils to add in a lovely scent.
6-8 Tbsp Coconut oil (solid state)
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch (arrowroot is preferred)
First, start by mixing equal portions of arrowroot powder and baking soda. Then add in coconut oil slowly and blend it in with a spoon or hand blender until it is firm with a supple texture. It will be exactly the same feel as your store bought deodorant, solid but easily applied. If the mixture is wet, add in more cornstarch/arrowroot powder to thicken.
You can place the deodorant in your old dispensers or put it in a mason jar. It can be easily applied with your fingers each use. This recipe will make you one cups worth and can last 3 months between two people, with regular use.
