Lawmaker Introduces Bill To Prohibit Forced Microchipping – HealthyTipsAdvice

It is a possibility that with todays modern technology and love for the nanny state among millions of Americans, that we may all be micro-chipped, where we all will be forced to wear a micro-chip under our skin.

The will ensure that we can be tracked by the government at all times. One lawmaker in Nebraska is drafting legislation to prevent the practice from occurring, at least in her very own state. Reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada senator, Becky Harris, believes the day for micro-chips may be soon for us al to be forced in being chipped.

She believes the requirement would be for law enforcement reasons, but it would in fact, be an infringement on our civil liberties. Mostly, privacy. “As I began to look into the issue, I was surprised with the merit that I believe the issue warrants,” she told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in recent days.

Her legislation, Senate Bill 109, would make it a Class C felony to force someone to accept a microchip that serves as an RFID – radio frequency identifier, technology that has been around for awhile.

Harris went on to further state that the sales of subcutaneous RFID microchips around the world have increased each year. She states that a firm in Australia sold 10,000 of them last year in kits where consumers are taught how to self-implant them.“Each kit costs about $100 and includes a tag and an injection tool,” she said to her colleagues, adding in, that in another story she had read in The Wall Street Journal, that 30,000 to 50,000 chips were sold globally.
Becky also notes that European companies are requiring their employees to be chipped, for security purposes. Employees of some companies in Sweden and Belgium already use chips for identification and access purposes. “It’s done under the idea to unlock doors or use copy machines or maybe pay for lunch, you could use your hand,” she told her colleagues on the Judiciary Committee. The legislation brought by Becky Harris was a prototype among at the other previous bills that passed in 10 other states. She says it wouldn’t prevent voluntary chipping, but wouldn’t allow companies or government institutions to enforce chipping requirements.
For the past decade, microchipping technology has been accessible to pet owners, who chipped them for locating when lost. There are some who believe micro-chips will work for those who have medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, would benefit from being chipped as they do wander off and forget their whereabouts etc. Dr. Katherine Albrecht, an anti-RFID advocate, privacy researcher, and co-author of the book, “Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Purchase and Watch Your Every Move,” notes that electronic tracking is everywhere now, and that includes on primary school campuses.
“Schools, of all places, should be teaching children how to participate in a free democratic society, not conditioning them to be tracked like cattle,” Albrecht, who is also director of Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering, said in a statement, reported from Fox News. “Districts planning to use RFID should brace themselves for a parent backlash, protests and lawsuits.”
Becky Harris was joined by the Electronic Privacy Information Ceneter, which opposes student tracking as well. Albrecht’s organization published a paper listing the concerns of protecting privacy rights in the Digital era, EPIC and other groups urged “that schools adopt robust privacy safeguards” if they were to go forward with the RFID tracking of there students. Schools that do utilize tracking technology, aren’t proposing students be chipped. They do, however, require that students carry electronic RFID-emitting cards for location tracking.
When it comes to this, two things come to play :1) That subcutaneous tracking technology is actually making advances in various societies; and 2) That it has become normalized in ways that state and local governments actually have to write and pass legislation in preventing the mandatory chipping of citizens – in America, no less. This goes to prove that some people are either born, or conditioned, to live as sheep
