Let’s be frank: If you’ve ever had an energy drink, odds are good at least one of them was a Red Bull. Unfortunately, it could also kill you.
No, really. Red Bull has been linked to heart attacks, and is banned in several countries as a result, including Denmark, France, and Norway.
While Red Bull does, in fact, give a short boost of energy after drinking a can, it also includes some nasty side effects, courtesy the caffeine and taurine content of the red-and-blue can.
Taurine in particular has been linked – along with other energy drinks – to high blood pressure, strokes, seizure, and even heart disease.
Instead, we recommend natural alternatives – of which there are plenty of ways to get a good energy boost!
