USC Researchers Discover How to Regenerate Your Entire Immune System in 72 Hours – HealthyTipsAdvice

The immune system is very complex and not vaguely understood by many, even our doctors who depend on for medical advice have no idea how to pinpoint it.

These days, people use synthetic medicines and vitamins to relieve their colds and boost immunity, but sickness still remains. Those who have a dysfunctional immune system, have alternative options and researchers have found a way to reset and energize the immune system; a method that is cost-effective and could benefit the elderly.

Three Days to a Whole New Immune System
Researchers from the University of Southern California say that the act of fasting for 3 days can reboot the entire immune system, especially in the elderly. Research points out that fasting aids stem cells to produce new white blood cells, which aid in eliminating infection. It was also found that fasting could benefit people with compromised immunity, and chemotherapy patients, who had prevented the effects of the treatment in the fasting period.

Flipping a “Regenerative Switch”
The researchers concluded that fasting for 3 days can regenerate your immunity, especially in the elderly.

In a statement to the UK’s The Telegraph, Prof. Valter Longo, Professor of Gerontology and the Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California, says,

“Fasting gives the ‘OK’ for stem cells to go ahead and begin proliferating and rebuild the entire system.” He even says the body essentially removed damaged, useless or old parts during fasting, and building “literally, a new immune system.”

Dr. Longo also stated that a person’s immunity reuses useless immune cells, and those that are damaged, to create energy while fasting. During the study’s trials, participants had to undergo fasting over a 6 month period, and 2-4 days a week. Dr. Longo says clinical trials have to be done, and asserts that research in the future looks “very promising.”
