If you’re here, you’re likely already a fan and believer of apple cider vinegar. And we’re with good news: We have even more reasons for you to love ACV!
In addition to balancing pH, increasing good digestive bacteria, and helping regulate weight, ACV can help balance blood sugar.
This most recent benefit comes courtesy an Arizona State University study, which tested 11 diabetics. What they found? Taking 2 tablespoons ACV with an ounce of cheese shortly before bedtime resulted in far lower blood sugar readings the next morning.
Another study found that even after high-carb meals, an ounce of ACV resulted in lower blood sugar levels than when the same meal was eaten without the ACV side.
Similiarly, studies have found ACV can help with weight by triggering genes that help your body break down fat and feel full sooner.
Other studies have shown ACV helps detox the lymphatic system, is antimicrobial, and boosts immune function. It even kills cancer cells!
And if you suffer from digestive issues, ACV can fix that, too – simply mix 2 teaspoons ACV with a teaspoon of raw honey in warm water, and drink. Adding ginger can help with a sore throat.
Remember that ACV is easier to take in when diluted with warm water, and enjoy!
Consider all of the other things ACV has been shown to help with:
- Athlete’s foot
- Bug bites
- Detox baths
- Poison ivy
- Removing warts
- Toenail fungus
- Toning your skin
It also helps increase flavor when cooking, or it can be used as a cleaning agent around the house. What an incredible natural alternative!
